To start working in a legal clinic, a student must successfully complete special courses: Civil Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Civil Procedural Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Criminal Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Criminal Procedural Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Administrative Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Administrative Procedural Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Labor Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Family Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Land law of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Notary, Advocacy, etc. This course is taught by Graduate School of Law faculty.
Upon completion of the courses, students must familiarize themselves with the regulations and rules of work in the legal clinic, after which they are allowed to work as an intern, i.e., paired with more experienced colleagues (consultants). If a student successfully works as an intern during the semester, he or she receives advisor status and can work without a partner. Interns and consultants always work under the supervision of supervisors - teachers from the Higher School of Law.
Students who actively participate in the work of the legal clinic are provided with:
• assistance in employment;
• access to complete reference and legal systems;
• the opportunity to use the library and office equipment of the legal clinic;
• the opportunity to participate in intensive courses and competitions for law students;
• the opportunity to participate in conferences of legal clinics;
All students of the Higher School of Law, even if they have not previously worked in a legal clinic, can undergo any types of internships provided for in the curriculum.
