From September 26 to 28, 2025,
the International Exhibition “Turkistan – City of Craftsmen” was held in the
city of Turkistan, organized by Turkistan Tourist Information Center
LLP.
The event was attended by
Serzhan Bashirov, a jeweler and lecturer at the Higher School of Art and
Humanities of Astana International University. The master presented his
original works, which received high praise from both visitors and experts.
The main goal of the
exhibition was to bring together masters of decorative and applied arts,
showcase their works to a wide audience, and promote both national and
contemporary applied creativity. The program included master classes, cultural
events, and creative meetings.
It is worth noting that in
2025, the city of Turkistan was granted the status of a “World Craft City” in
the field of ceramics by the World Craft Council. This recognition highlights
Turkistan’s rich cultural heritage and traditional craftsmanship on the
international stage.
