On
November 28, 2025, Samal Zhamalova, a senior lecturer at Astana International
University and a Master's student, delivered a lecture on "Scientific
Research: Introducing Students to Science" for students at Physics and
Technology School-Lyceum No. 73.
The
event was held as part of the week of the methodological association of physics
and computer science teachers and was aimed at increasing students' interest in
scientific inquiry and project work.
During
the lecture, students were introduced to the key stages of scientific research,
modern approaches to developing research skills, and methods for organizing
project and laboratory work. Particular attention was paid to setting research
problems, planning experiments, and accurately presenting results.
Speaking
to the students, Samal Zhamalova noted that early immersion in scientific work
contributes to the development of critical thinking, independence, and
responsibility—qualities necessary for future specialists. The speaker
emphasized the important role of information technology in modern scientific
research, including digital tools for collecting, analyzing, and visualizing
data.
The
students showed great interest in the materials presented, asked questions, and
discussed research project examples. Following the event, the participants
noted that the lecture helped them better understand the scientific process and
the opportunities offered by participating in scientific competitions and
conferences.
AIU's
collaboration with School-Lyceum No. 73 is part of a systematic effort to
popularize science among young people and support schoolchildren striving to
develop their research skills.
