The Association of Legal Entities in the form of the Association “National Movement “Bobek” held the VI International Conference “Youth and Science: New Trends in Independence” on November 25, 2022 in Astana in the Palace of Schoolchildren named after M. Utemisov, within the framework of which there were presentations of international book collections “Best Student of the CIS”, “Best Teacher of the CIS”, “Best Young Scientist of the CIS” and “100 New Faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The participants of this conference were teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of universities in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The participants were warmly congratulated by the representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan, E.M. Abiyev the Head of the International Organization “National Movement “Bobek”, Z.E. Kolumbaeva Professor of the University “Turan-Astana”.

In conclusion, the conference organizers awarded the winners and prize-winners of the nominations “Best Student of the CIS”, “Best Teacher of the CIS”, “Best Young Scientist of the CIS” and “100 New Faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

On November 23, 2022, as part of teaching practice, an open lesson was held by 2nd year master-student Mukhamedzhanov Nurym on the topic "Cellular mechanisms of DNA repair" for 2nd year bachelor students of the Biology educational program.

An open lesson was held according to the TBL method (team-based learning - a method of teaching in groups) under the guidance of a lecturer PhD Zhumagul M.Zh. The structure of the lesson consisted of a group test, an individual test and a situational task. The final grade was set taking into account the results of all tasks. The open lesson was held at a high level, the students were satisfied and noted that group work is one of the most effective ways of conducting classes and contributes to a better consolidation of knowledge. We wish success to Nurym in his future carreer!

On November 25, within the framework of the project "VI International Book Edition", aimed at popularizing science and personal achievements of young scientists of the CIS countries at the international conference "Youth and Science: new directions of Independence", held at the M. Utemisov Palace of Schoolchildren in Astana, a student of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering of our University Bakytnur Shuak he was awarded diplomas of the II and III degrees "The best young scientists -2022" and "The best student - 2022", as well as a badge, a medal certificate and a "Collection of the best young scientists". A letter of thanks was also presented to the scientific supervisor of Shuak Kutepova L. T.

The main goal of the project is to identify the best significant and innovative projects of young scientists, promote scientific interests, and create a common unifying platform for the development of science. The best young scientists who have made an invaluable contribution to the development of science throughout the CIS took part in this project, and inclusion in the collection was carried out on a competitive basis.

On November 17, 2022, the faculty and students of AIU took part in a press conference on the project "Development and implementation of a set of measures to strengthen environmental culture among young people, organized by the public fund "Environmental Fund of Kazakhstan". The goal of the project was the environmental education of the younger generation in schools The event was also attended by the Vice Minister of Information and Social Development, deputy of the Committee on Ecology and Nature Management of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NJSC "Center for Support of Civic Initiatives", representatives of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, universities and schools, etc. The speakers provided information on the holding of various environmental campaigns: competitions, trainings, "green" challenge, etc., which influence the formation of the environmental culture of young people, the use of innovative methods that are adapted to the interests of modern youth.

The festival “JASTAR JALYNY-2022” is one of the most anticipated events for students, which brings together the most energetic and creative young people.

3rd year student of the Higher School of Art and Design Bolatbek Madi took part in the youth creative festival “JASTAR JALYNY-2022”.

The competition is held in order to implement priorities and objectives in the field of youth policy, create conditions for the creative development of the city’s youth, develop the spiritual and cultural potential of students, as well as improve the system of aesthetic and ethical education of students.

Holding such creative competitions helps students discover new talents and provides new opportunities.

16th November 2022 Candidate of Law, Associate Professor of the Higher School of Law Kurmanbaev B.M. in the presence of students, the badge "30 years of the Kazakh police" was presented.

The jubilee badge was presented by the Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Law, Professor of the Higher School of Law AIU Borchashvili I.Sh., who congratulated Associate Professor Kurmanbayeva B.M. and noted that he is a veteran of the internal affairs bodies and conscientiously performed his official duties.

"Seeds for the Future" is Huawei's global training program focused on sharing experiences and expanding knowledge in the field of ICT, as well as stimulating local talents, increasing their interest in the industry and participating in the digital community. To date, representatives of 500 universities from 137 countries of the world have participated in the Seeds for the Future program. Bakytnur Shuak, a student of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering of our University, also took part in this event and became the winner.

The Seeds for the Future 2022 program was conducted online with the participation of local and international experts. 30 students studying in STEM-specialty were selected from Kazakh universities and took part in this program. The students completed a week-long online training on the learning system from Huawei in the direction of 5G, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies, and also received full information about their innovative achievements.

At the last stage of the program, a Tech4Good competition was organized for students. This competition helps young people learn about the latest trends in digitalization and explore how digital technologies can solve common social problems. In the competition, the Kazakh team considered the problem of eliminating technological shortcomings in the country.

On November 11, 2022, the teaching staff of the Higher School of Natural Sciences and environmental students of Astana International University took part in the International Scientific and Environmental Forum on the topic "Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources". The forum was organized by the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NJSC "Civil Initiatives Support Center" and the Public Fund "Environmental Fund of Kazakhstan" in order to discuss and find solutions to the main problems in the field of environmental protection.

Candidate of Technical Sciences, Dean Seitkan Ainur Seitkankyzy made presentations on the topic “Thermal behavior of iron diarsenide” and Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Satybaldiyeva Gulmira Kalmashevna on the topic “Rational use of natural resources”. As a result of the conference, scientific and practical recommendations were developed to ensure the sustainable development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the forum participants noted the relevance and high significance of the conference.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- High GPA.

- English language Certificate - IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (preferred), it is also possible to take an AIU-based language proficiency test.

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Poznań.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 21)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

- Stage 2 - The AIU Academic Mobility (AM) Commission selects applicants according to the criteria.

- Stage 3 - The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed Stage 2. Quota - 10 people.

- Stage 4 - Registration of students in the AMU system.

On November 9, 2022, a master class was held at the Higher School of Art and Design on the topic: “Using reproductions of paintings by great artists when studying the basics of design.

Purpose of the master class: Didactic tasks when using reproductions of paintings helps in the formation of ideas, the formation of general and individual concepts, the identification of patterns, the ability to compare, the ability to highlight.

Design without the use of clarity and entertainment and design with their use are two completely different things. As much as the first is difficult and boring for a student, the second is just as interesting and exciting.

The use of reproductions of paintings teaches students to think logically, develops artistic and imaginative thinking, aesthetic taste, and the ability to perceive and understand beauty.
