The Association of Legal Entities in the form of the Association “National Movement “Bobek” held the VI International Conference “Youth and Science: New Trends in Independence” on November 25, 2022 in Astana in the Palace of Schoolchildren named after M. Utemisov, within the framework of which there were presentations of international book collections “Best Student of the CIS”, “Best Teacher of the CIS”, “Best Young Scientist of the CIS” and “100 New Faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The participants of this conference were teachers, doctoral students, undergraduates and students of universities in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The participants were warmly congratulated by the representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Kazakhstan, E.M. Abiyev the Head of the International Organization “National Movement “Bobek”, Z.E. Kolumbaeva Professor of the University “Turan-Astana”.

In conclusion, the conference organizers awarded the winners and prize-winners of the nominations “Best Student of the CIS”, “Best Teacher of the CIS”, “Best Young Scientist of the CIS” and “100 New Faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Among the awarded were representatives of our Astana International University: Associate Professor of the Pedagogical Institute Abzhakov Talgatbek Duysenbekovich - Diploma of the 1st degree and the badge “100 new faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States; graduate student of the specialty “Pre-school education and upbringing” (Technical and vocational education) Khairatbek Akmaral - Diploma of the 1st degree and the badge "100 new faces-2022" among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States. Professor of AIU Zhumabayeva Zaida Efimovna was awarded a Letter of Gratitude For the support provided to active youth in the project “100 new faces-2022” among the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

"Seeds for the Future" is Huawei's global training program focused on sharing experiences and expanding knowledge in the field of ICT, as well as stimulating local talents, increasing their interest in the industry and participating in the digital community. To date, representatives of 500 universities from 137 countries of the world have participated in the Seeds for the Future program. Bakytnur Shuak, a student of the Higher School of Information Technology and Engineering of our University, also took part in this event and became the winner.

The Seeds for the Future 2022 program was conducted online with the participation of local and international experts. 30 students studying in STEM-specialty were selected from Kazakh universities and took part in this program. The students completed a week-long online training on the learning system from Huawei in the direction of 5G, artificial intelligence and cloud technologies, and also received full information about their innovative achievements.

At the last stage of the program, a Tech4Good competition was organized for students. This competition helps young people learn about the latest trends in digitalization and explore how digital technologies can solve common social problems. In the competition, the Kazakh team considered the problem of eliminating technological shortcomings in the country.

Currently, students of Astana International University (AIU) have the opportunity to participate in  international academic mobility (AM) in Poland, Poznan at the partner university Adam Mickiewicz University - AMU. Tuition is FREE. The rest of the costs are the responsibility of the student.

Participation criteria:

- Applicant must be an AIU student.

- students of 2-3 courses are allowed to participate (in certain cases, students of the 4th year can participate in the 1st semester).

- High GPA.

- English language Certificate - IELTS, TOEFL, etc. (preferred), it is also possible to take an AIU-based language proficiency test.

- Active social/scholar life of the student (volunteering, participation in scientific projects / conferences, etc.)

- The applicant provides a written consent of the parents to participate in the international AM and a confirmation of the rental of housing in Poznań.

AM period:

- Fall semester: October - February (applications are accepted until May 24)

- Spring semester: March - June (applications are accepted until November 21)

- international academic mobility lasts 1 academic semester.

Selection procedure:

- Stage 1 - Applications for participation are collected in autumn and spring.

- Stage 2 - The AIU Academic Mobility (AM) Commission selects applicants according to the criteria.

- Stage 3 - The AIU AM Commission conducts an interview with applicants who have successfully passed Stage 2. Quota - 10 people.

- Stage 4 - Registration of students in the AMU system.

Approximate costs in Poland:

- Tickets Astana - Warsaw - Astana - approx. 750$
