Astana International University and Michigan State University strengthen cooperation in education and research

On February 21, 2024, Astana International University (AIU) welcomed a delegation from Michigan State University (MSU), which included: Julie A. Sinclair, PhD, Deputy Director of the Office of International Educational Research, University of Michigan College, Xinyu Wu, PhD, Director of the International Professional Visits Program at the University of Michigan, Sakil Malik, Senior Advisor for Global Education at the University of Michigan College, and Aliya Bizhanova, PhD candidate in the Education Policy Program and Research Associate in the Office of International Educational Research at the University of Michigan College.

The MSU delegation shared information about the wide range of internships that MSU provides for Kazakh scholars and students. They praised the academic achievements of the visiting trainees, including AIU staff.

The parties plan to establish close cooperation in various areas, including innovations in pedagogy, research methods, educational leadership, etc.

This important event reflects the growing interest of Kazakhstani educational institutions in international cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of higher education.

The parties expressed hopes for future fruitful cooperation, with the goal of enriching educational opportunities and academic exchange between Astana and Michigan.
